Farm to School

Today we had our March Farm to School lesson. Chef Anne and Meg, a UVM student, taught us about beans. Did you know that beans are a type of protein, a vegetable and a grain?

Future Pharmacists Visit Kindergarten

Today we had pharmacology students from the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences visit our kindergarten classes. These future pharmacists talked to us about poisons that we may have in our homes such as cleaning supplies, toothpaste and prescription medications. We also talked about poisonous things we can find in nature like poison ivy and mushrooms.

We learned that we should always ask a trusted adult if we are unsure about eating or touching something.

Our kindergarteners are now experts when it comes to poison prevention!
